How-To
You don't need to leave your rental to get good cannabis on the Outer Banks. Here is every shop that delivers, what areas they cover, what it costs, and how to order.
How-To · Updated June 2026
You're on vacation. You're settled into your rental. The last thing you want to do is get back in the car and drive to a shop. Good news: some of the OBX's listed hemp shops offer delivery. Here's how it works.
Yes, you can get cannabis delivered to your OBX rental.About half of the shops on the Outer Banks offer delivery, primarily concentrated in Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and Kitty Hawk. Most deliver from Corolla to Nags Head, with some going as far south as Hatteras Island.
Best bet for delivery: Call a KDH shop that offers delivery. Confirm minimums, fees, and coverage when you call — shops change terms seasonally.
What you can get delivered: THCA flower and pre-rolls, Delta 9 gummies and edibles, vape carts, CBD products, and sometimes concentrates. Same products as in-store, same prices (plus a delivery fee).
We don't publish per-shop delivery terms. Shops change minimums, fees, and coverage seasonally — call ahead to confirm before you order.
The delivery area map is simple:
The process is simpler than you think:
| Item | In-store price | Delivery price |
|---|---|---|
| 1g THCA pre-roll | $12-18 | $12-18 (same) |
| 3.5g THCA flower (eighth) | $30-55 | $30-55 (same) |
| 10mg D9 gummy (10ct) | $20-35 | $20-35 (same) |
| 1g vape cart | $25-55 | $25-55 (same) |
| Delivery fee + tip | — | varies by shop |
Product prices are the same as in-store. The only extra is the delivery fee and tip. Total premium over in-store shopping: the delivery fee and tip.

Shop the Store →Cannabis delivery on the OBX is real, legal, and surprisingly convenient. About half of the shops offer it, the prices are the same as in-store, and the delivery fees are reasonable. If you're staying in KDH, Nags Head, or Kitty Hawk, you have multiple options. If you're on Hatteras Island, your options are limited but functional. The key is to call ahead, be specific about what you want, and have your ID and cash ready when the driver arrives. Quick answers
Yes. Hemp-derived products (THCA flower, Delta 9 gummies, CBD, vape carts) are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, and delivery of these products is legal in North Carolina as long as the delivery follows the same rules as in-store sales: 21+ ID check at delivery, no sales to minors, and no delivery to federal land (Cape Hatteras National Seashore).
Some OBX hemp shops offer delivery, but most do not publish fixed terms — minimums, fees, and coverage change seasonally. Call the shop before you order. Nags Head and Kitty Hawk shops are more hit-or-miss — call ahead.
Most KDH-based services deliver from Corolla to Nags Head (the northern OBX). Some deliver as far south as Buxton and Hatteras, but expect a surcharge for Hatteras Island deliveries. Delivery to Duck, Southern Shores, and Kitty Hawk is standard. Delivery to Corolla (especially the 4WD area) is limited — most shops won't go that far north.
Most shops require a minimum order and charge a delivery fee that varies by shop and distance. Hatteras Island deliveries typically carry a surcharge. Tip your driver as you would a food delivery. Shops change terms seasonally; call ahead to confirm before you order.
You call or text the shop, place your order, provide your delivery address and phone number. The driver calls when they're 10-15 minutes out. You meet them at your rental's front door or lobby. They check your ID (must be 21+, government-issued), take payment (cash or debit — credit cards are rare for delivery), and hand over your order. The whole process takes 5 minutes at the door.
Yes, as long as the address is in the delivery area. Hotels, rental houses, condos, and Airbnbs are all fine. The driver will meet you at the front door or lobby. Some hotels have policies against cannabis on the premises — that's between you and the hotel, not the delivery service. Be discreet.
