The COA Test
The absolute baseline for a professional shop is the COA (Certificate of Analysis). A COA is a third-party lab report that proves the potency and purity of a product.
Professional shops will either have QR codes on the packaging or a digital binder available for the staff to show you. If a shop employee says, "It's all good, trust me," that is your signal to leave immediately.
The Staff Knowledge Test
A quality shop doesn't just sell products; they provide education. If the staff can't explain the difference between Delta-8 and THCA, or can't explain how a terpene profile affects the high, they aren't professionals—they are clerks.
